These Terms of Service apply to SLBenfica.net (website) and the SL Benfica Net app for iPhone, iPad and Mac. By creating an account or using either service, you agree to these terms.

Account & Eligibility
- You must be at least 13 years old to create an account.
- Use accurate account information and keep your login secure.
- You are responsible for activity under your account.
- We may suspend or close accounts that violate these terms or applicable law.
Acceptable Use
- No unauthorized access, abuse, disruption, malware, or spam.
- No unlawful, harassing, deceptive, or infringing content.
- No hate speech, threats, bullying, sexual or violent content, discrimination, or impersonation of another person or of the club.
- Do not try to get around the content filter, a block or a ban — for example with deliberate misspellings, or by opening a new account after a ban.
- Do not use scraping or automation that harms platform stability.
User Content
- You keep ownership of your content.
- You grant us a non-exclusive license to host, display, and process content to run the services.
- We may remove content that violates law, these terms, or safety standards.
Games and Predictions
- Fantasy, predictions, the quiz and Benfictle are free games for fun. There are no entry fees, prizes or real money, and the fantasy budget is not real currency.
- Scores, ranks and leaderboards are worked out from our match data, which can contain errors; we may correct them.
Intellectual Property
- SLBenfica.net branding, software, and original content are protected by law.
- No unauthorized copying, redistribution, reverse engineering, or commercial reuse.
Notifications and Communications
- We may send account, security, and service notifications via web and app channels.
- You can manage optional notifications in account or device settings when available.
Community and Moderation
- Zero tolerance. There is no tolerance for objectionable content (hate speech, harassment, threats, bullying, sexual or violent content, discrimination) or for abusive users. Posting it gets the content removed and can get your account suspended or closed without notice.
- An automatic filter masks offensive words in everything members post, and usernames that contain them are refused.
- You can report any forum post, comment, story, feed post, private message or match chat message, and you can block any member from their profile, from a forum post or from a conversation. Once you block someone you no longer see what they post and they cannot message you.
- We review every report within 24 hours. Content that breaks these terms is removed and the member who posted it is ejected from the community (suspended or banned).
- We may moderate, remove, restrict, or label content to protect users and platform integrity.
- Repeated violations may result in temporary restrictions or account termination.
- You can report a post, comment or story with its Report button, send us a note through the Feedback page, or email admin@slbenfica.net.
- Fan Map meetups are arranged by members, not by us. We do not check them, so take the usual care when meeting people you know only online. You can block members and report posts, comments and stories.
Security Responsibilities
- Keep your password private and use a strong, unique password for your account.
- Notify us promptly if you suspect unauthorized account access.
- We may require additional verification steps to protect accounts and users.
Third-Party Services
- Some features depend on external providers: Apple (push notifications and Sign in with Apple), your browser’s push service (browser notifications), Cloudflare (the human check), Giphy (GIFs), YouTube (highlight videos), OpenStreetMap (maps) and content delivery networks (shared code).
- Those providers have their own terms and privacy policies, which apply to your use of those features.
- We are not responsible for third-party outages, terms, or policies.
Apple App Store Terms
- These terms are between you and us only, not with Apple. Apple is not responsible for the app or its content.
- Apple has no obligation to provide any maintenance or support for the app.
- If the app fails to conform to any applicable warranty, you may notify Apple and Apple will refund the purchase price, if any. To the maximum extent permitted by law, Apple has no other warranty obligation with respect to the app.
- Apple is not responsible for addressing any claim relating to the app, including product liability, legal or regulatory compliance, or intellectual property claims.
- Apple and its subsidiaries are third-party beneficiaries of these terms and may enforce them against you.
- You confirm you are not located in a country subject to a US Government embargo or designated as terrorist-supporting, and that you are not on any US Government restricted-party list.
- The app and the website share one account: what you post or change in one appears in the other.
- Notifications, including the live match card on your Lock Screen, are optional and can be turned off in the app or in iOS Settings.
Copyright Complaints
- We respect copyright. If you believe content here infringes your rights, contact us with enough detail to identify the work and where it appears.
- Include your contact details and a statement that you are the rights holder or authorised to act for them.
- We remove or restrict infringing content once verified, and may suspend accounts that repeatedly infringe.
Unofficial Fan Site
- This is an independent supporter-run site. It is not operated by, affiliated with, or endorsed by Sport Lisboa e Benfica.
- It is run from the United States, on servers in the United States, and is offered free of charge with no subscriptions or paid features.
- Club names, crests, and competition marks belong to their respective owners and are used for identification only.
- Statistics and match data are compiled for reference and may contain errors or omissions.
Availability and Updates
- Features may change, be updated, or be discontinued at any time.
- Services are provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis.
Limitation of Liability
- To the maximum extent permitted by law, we are not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages related to service usage.
Termination
- You may stop using the services at any time.
- We may suspend or terminate access for abuse, security risk, legal obligations, or policy violations.
Changes to Terms
- We may update these terms over time.
- Changes take effect when published unless a later date is stated.
Account Deletion and Data Handling
- You can delete your account at any time under Profile › Delete Account, on the website or in the app. Deletion is immediate and cannot be undone.
- Forum posts and comments you made stay on the site with your name removed. Our licence to display them continues after your account is deleted.
- Some records may be retained where required for security, legal, fraud-prevention, or audit purposes.
