SL Benfica - Pedrinho, #38
CompareShare Card
Pedro Vitor Herminio Martins, known as Pedrinho, was born on 13 April 1998 in Maceió, Brazil. He came through the youth system at Corinthians, where he made his senior debut in 2017 and won the Brazilian championship, establishing himself as one of the club's most promising attacking midfielders.
Benfica signed him with effect from 1 July 2020 for a reported fee of eighteen million euros, on a contract until 2025. The move did not work out: across 2020/21 he struggled to establish himself in Jorge Jesus's side, making appearances mainly from the bench and starting only occasionally in the league and cups.
After a single season he was sold to Shakhtar Donetsk on 9 June 2021, so he did not feature in 2021/22. He later returned to Brazil with Atlético Mineiro before going back to Shakhtar. He has represented Brazil at youth international level.
