Description
<p>St George's Park, the English Football Association's national football centre near Burton upon Trent, was officially opened on 9 October 2012. It occupies a 330-acre site and was designed by Red Box Design Group.</p><p>All twenty-eight England national teams train there, from the senior men's and women's squads down to the youth, disability and futsal sides, and visiting national teams and clubs also use it. There are twelve outdoor pitches plus an indoor pitch, one of them an exact replica of the Wembley surface.</p><p>The model was Clairefontaine, the French centre that produced the generation which won the 1998 World Cup and Euro 2000. Accommodation on site is for around 300 people.</p>
