About the Club
Zorya Luhansk were founded in 1923 in the Donbas and won the Soviet Top League in 1972, the only club from Ukraine other than Dynamo Kyiv and Dnipro to take the Soviet title.
Since the war in the Donbas began in 2014 the club has been unable to play in Luhansk and has used grounds in Zaporizhzhia and elsewhere in Ukraine. It has nonetheless remained a regular in the Ukrainian Premier League's European places.
